gerald.

This is Gerald:prototype. The real Gerald will be made out of felt, and will hopefully look better than his prototype.

I wrote a poem:

in a tree
come with me
and you will see
this wonderful tree
which shelters a teepee
on a cliff by the sea
but inside the teepee
was a giant pea
who wished to be free
from that horrible teepee
it had a pet flea
which bit with glee
that flea had a friend called bee
who wasn't actually a bee
so anyway, this pea
it needed the key
to be free from the teepee
but woe! the key
was hidden in bee's knee
and you'd have to agree
that bee did not want to give up his knee
even for the pea to be free
all the pea lived on was tea
but unbeknownst to the pea
was that bee liked tea
in fact, bee was obsessed with tea
and as a desperate attempt, the pea asked the flea
to invite round bee for tea
the flea had no idea what the pea was going on about so he just had to agree
so along came bee
to the teepee
and luckily for the pea
when bee smelt that tea
he didn't have the strength to resist, did he?
as bee fainted, the pea watched with glee
and then extracted the key from bee's knee
and therefore was able to be free
but as the pea escaped from the teepee
it was plinded by the beauty of the sea
and then it blindly stumbled and fell off the edge of the cliff and died.

I wrote this in less than 5 minutes, off the top of my head. It is not meant to be good or conform to correct poetic structure, it just happened. I hope it amuses you.

Yesterday, I went to Lachlan's house (HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY for Thursday!). Reggie was already there, and we played mario kart on Wii. Reggie and I epicly failed. especially me, because it turned out that I was holding the controller upside-down. we collected Aaron from the bus stop, and then went back to Lachlan's place and built a lego pyramid on wheels. Patrick turned up soon afterwards with Tarzan, which we all enjoyed watching. We gave Lachlan's younger siblings a bit of an idea of what they were looking forward to in highschool ;) In the evening, we headed to the restaurant for the dinner party. More people gradually turned up, we ordered drinks (they forgot about Daniel's ice tea), then after a while, when everyone was present, we ordered dinner. The food was spectacular. I was quite proud of eating every single piece of penne, although I regretted it later when my stomach complained. The cheesecake was brought in (with only three candles on it) which was also very tasty. After paying up, we all went and 'frollicked' in the carpark while people left one by one. Lachlan, Aaron, Sandi, Anil, Patrick and I wandered off to Gelari. They do the best lemon sorbet. Anil and Sandi left, Lachlan's dad picked the rest of us up, he dropped Aaron off at the traino, and took Lachlan, Patrick and I back to his place. My dad was already there, but him and Lachlan's dad ended up talking for half an hour, even though my dad said "alright, lets go", and I hugged Lachlan and Patrick goodbye, twice. The third time though, we actually left.

All in all, it was a fun night. I'm sure someone will upload photos to either blogspot or facebook soon enough.

The only other thing happening in the not-too-distant-future is my own 16th birthday, next friday (the 15th). I cannot wait to drive, or at least know that I can go and get my L's any time I like. My party is currently being planned, although I still haven't decided on the Where, or emailed out invites. Maybe Kings Park, or the Foreshore. If I can come to terms with the fact that the Foreshore doesn't have a playground (at least not one I know of), then I shall have it there, but the ideal spot is the Alinta Gas Playground in Kings Park, because it has a big stone dinosaur (:D) and lots of little playgrounds. and nice green grass. and I'm pretty sure it has BBQ's too. The only issue there, is transport. How people are going to get there and things. Really, the only way is by car, so if Kings Park is where I choose to have it, people will either have to share lifts or not come, and since I like to have as little inconveniences as possible, it makes the choice all the more difficult.

Thats it for now.
